DESCRIPTION
Brioche is a fun, squishy and fully reversible stitch pattern that has gained popularity in recent years in knitting! In this class, we will be making a 2-colour brioche cowl (in the round) to introduce you to the stitch and idea behind the technique. This class is intended for first time brioche knitters!
Wednesdays, January 8 & 15, 6-8pm
PREREQUISITE
Ability to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, slip stitches, knit in the round, be comfortable moving yarn backwards and forwards (no brioche experience is required).
SKILL LEVEL
Brioche is considered an intermediate technique but if you are an adventurous beginner comfortable with working in 2 colours, it should be fine.
COST
$80 + GST.
TECHNIQUES TO LEARN
Two colour brioche and fundamentals in brioche knitting.
MATERIALS TO BRING
50 g each of worsted weight yarn in 2 high contrast colours (e.g., 50 g light colour and 50 g dark colour). 4.5 mm 16" circular needle.
IMPORTANT NOTE 1
Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies for the class.
Should supplies be required & bought in shop, a 10% discount will be applied to a one time purchase only, before or on the first day of class. Customers showing their TFN tote bag will receive an additional 5% discount.
Staff will confirm the class registration details at time of discounted supplies purchase.
