DESCRIPTION
In this class, we’ll build on your beginner brioche skills, to help you branch out into the world of brioche projects! Participants will learn brioche increase & decrease techniques, that add detail to an already stunning stitch. We’ll be knitting a practice swatch with multiple increases & decreases. If you’re feeling up to it we will also help you get started on a bigger brioche project of your choosing. We’ll touch on both English & Continental knitting styles in the class. This class is also well suited to those that need a little refresher or some guidance with knitting their brioche project.

PREREQUISITE
BEGINNER BRIOCHE class or equivalent.
SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate – advance knitters. You must be familiar with knit, purl, increase, decrease, brk, brp, sl1yo, & have some experience with either the twisted German cast on or tubular long tail cast on.
COST
$40 + GST.
TECHNIQUES TO LEARN
Increases and decreases, understanding brioche patterns.
MATERIALS
Sarah recommends a smooth fingering or dk weight yarn in 2 contrasting colours (not wooly/grippy/rustic), preferably a clear light and dark. Under 50g per colour is needed if only completing the swatch. Sarah will be doing her swatch in fingering weight yarn, using 3.25-3.75 mm needles according to her personal tension.
IMPORTANT NOTE 1
Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies for the class.
Should supplies be required & bought in shop, a 10% discount will be applied to a one time purchase only, before or on the first day of class. Customers showing their TFN tote bag will receive an additional 5% discount.
Staff will confirm the class registration details at time of discounted supplies purchase.
